Recently, three of us from Jenny’s Travel had the incredible opportunity to explore Dubai and its top attractions. From iconic landmarks to exhilarating desert safaris, we experienced first-hand the best Dubai has to offer, so we can pass on the best tips and recommendations to our clients. Here’s an inside look into our unforgettable 4-day adventure and why Dubai should definitely be on your bucket list.
Day 1: City Tour of Dubai’s Iconic Sights
Upon arriving in Dubai, we set out on a private city tour to explore some of the city’s most iconic sights. We started with the sail-shaped Burj Al Arab, known for its unparalleled luxury and status as the world’s only 7-star hotel. Then, we headed to Atlantis, The Palm, a marvel of modern architecture that perfectly captures Dubai’s luxurious spirit.
In the afternoon, we explored Dubai Mall and Mall of the Emirates. Known as destinations in their own right, these malls offer everything from high-end boutiques to unique attractions like the indoor ski slope at Mall of the Emirates.
Our evening ended at Global Village, an attraction we described as “Dubai’s world fair.” With pavilions representing cultures from around the globe, Global Village is a unique place to experience international food, art, and live performances. This is a must-see for anyone wanting a vibrant cultural experience in Dubai.
Day 2: Old Dubai Meets the Future
Day two brought us on a journey into both Dubai’s history and its vision for the future. We began at the bustling Gold and Spice Souks in Old Dubai, where vibrant stalls brim with gold jewellery, fragrant spices, and traditional crafts. Haggling with local vendors was part of the experience, and the markets truly capture the heritage of Dubai’s trade culture.
Next up was the Dubai Frame, a stunning structure that bridges Old and New Dubai. The views from the top are incredible, offering panoramic perspectives of both traditional and modern Dubai. After that, we visited the Museum of the Future, a striking building showcasing technological innovations and visionary concepts. This museum is interactive and thought-provoking, giving us a glimpse into what’s next for the world.
The evening was a highlight of our trip – a Desert Safari adventure. We enjoyed an exhilarating 4×4 dune-bashing ride, tried sandboarding, rode camels, and ended the night at a Bedouin-inspired camp with a traditional barbecue dinner under the stars. The evening was filled with entertainment, including belly dancing and fire dancing, offering the perfect mix of thrill and cultural immersion.
Day 3: Thrills and a Magical Evening on the Marina
For a day filled with adrenaline, we visited IMG Worlds of Adventure, one of the world’s largest indoor theme parks. With themed zones, roller coasters, and immersive experiences, it’s a paradise for thrill-seekers and families alike. We recommend setting aside a few hours to fully enjoy the variety of attractions, from Marvel superhero rides to Cartoon Network favourites.
To top off our Dubai adventure, we enjoyed a memorable Dhow cruise buffet dinner in the Dubai Marina. As we dined, we were surrounded by Dubai’s glittering skyline, making for a relaxing and picturesque end to the day. The buffet was a feast of international and Middle Eastern delicacies, the perfect farewell dinner.
Day 4: Farewell to Dubai
On the fourth day, it was time to head back to the airport. Reflecting on our whirlwind trip, we agreed that Dubai offers an unparalleled mix of luxury, adventure, and cultural experiences. We returned with a wealth of knowledge and excitement to help you make the most of your own Dubai journey!
