Inzalo Safari Lodge
Inzalo Safari Lodge is a tented oasis in the spectacular Welgevonden Game Reserve
A 34 000 ha ‘Big Five’, malaria-free protected wilderness within the UNESCO Waterberg Biosphere of South Africa’s Limpopo Province.
Jenny’s Travel’s management team visited the beautiful Inzalo Safari Lodge and can recommend this breathtaking, slow living and unspoilt game reserve as your next holiday destination. Our team was welcomed with open arms by Dave and his team, and could experience the beauty that the Welgevonden Game Reserve has to offer.

Inzalo Lodge, a Zulu name suggesting “to be reborn”
A 2.5-hour drive or a 45-minute flight from Johannesburg into one of the reserve’s two airstrips, makes the Welgevonden one of the most accessible premier malaria-free reserves in the country. It’s situated along the Sterkstroom River, where each of the five luxurious tented safari suites provides panoramic views of the river and Waterberg sandstone cliff beyond.
Owned and managed by Dave and Henriette Rieger,
together with their passionate and dedicated team, Inzalo Lodge offers the opportunity to escape, explore and immerse oneself in the daily rhythm of the African bush. Safari experiences abound and include daily game drives, on-site birding, river walks, track and sign identification, bush walks, visits to San paintings, bush picnics and more.
The unspoiled environment provides guests with the opportunity to enjoy unrestricted views of the beautiful habitat and unique wildlife.
